Zululand Book Review “People of Heaven” Beverly Harper – The story is set in Zululand around the town of Empangeni and the Big 5 country to the north during the period of apartheid over two generations. It is about two friends with a strong bond, Michael, a European family man and Dyson, a Zulu who becomes an activist. It engagingly covers the plight of the rhinoceros, sugar cane farming, Zulu and Apartheid history with its racial division, family dynamics with sibling rivalry.

The well written narrative describes Zululand landscape in a visual way.
